Cara Martin (on right) received a student travel grant from UNCP to attend and present at the North Carolina Sociological Association (NCSA) conference in March 2024.

Kai Anderson, undergraduate research assistant, presented preliminary findings of their NC Collaboratory grant-funded project on the health and well-being of residents living in rural and urban North Carolina at the Pembroke Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium in April 2024.

(Social Problems Class Presentation, April 2024)

Kristin Stowell, undergraduate research assistant, presented her work on medical gaslighting in my social problems class in spring 2024. Kristin is continuing this research as part of their NC Collaboratory project. Specifically, she is developing a paper (which she will lead) on barriers to healthcare in rural areas.
